John served as a U.S. Naval officer after graduating from the College of the Holy Cross, earned his first law degree from Fordham University School of Law, a Masters of Law in Taxation degree from New York University and later studied for a Doctorate of Juridical Science degree at St. John’s University Law School. John served as an adjunct assistant professor at Hofstra University while in private practice in Queens. He later moved his practice to Long Island, where he and his wife, Peggy, had purchased a house Levittown, Long Island.

John has five children, Tim, Mary, Kathy, Chris and Harry – all of whom are married, all of whom have post-graduate degrees, four of whom are lawyers and two of whom are married to lawyers – and ten grandchildren. John has served on the finance committee and as a trustee of Holy Family Parish in Hicksville, Long Island. While largely retired from the active practice of law, his areas of expertise include Wills, Real Estate, Probate and Estate Administration.
