O'Rourke Seaman LLP is a family-run law firm focusing primarily on Elder Law, Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts and Estates. Our Elder Law practice area focuses on protecting clients’ life savings from the astronomical costs of long-term nursing home and at-home care and obtaining Medicaid benefits for clients to pay for long-term care when needed.
Our Estate Planning practice area involves preserving assets by minimizing estate and capital gains tax and provides continued asset protection for clients’ descendants.
Our Wills, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Directives practice area is a subset of Estate Planning in which we create documents that every New Yorker, even those without tax or long-term care concerns, should have in place.
Our Probate and Estate Administration practice area is where we help clients wind up their parents’ and loved ones’ last affairs while minimizing taxes. We handle everything from probate to the sale of decedents’ real property to complex trust accountings to litigated estate proceedings.
